Hamers Jonas

Jonas Hamers was born in 1981 in Verviers. He joined Reporters in 2004 and, in 2005, got himself noticed with a story on the cutters and burners of the sugar cane fields of Brazil. The photos were subsequently put on display at the gallery ‘Objectif’ in Brussels, at the gallery Plaza Arts in Mons, and in the building of the German-speaking Community in Eupen. In 2007, he also held the exhibition “Quelques années plus tard” at the Saint-Luc Institute (Liège). He currently does studio work, producing still lifes, portraits and food photos. In addition, he specializes in photo retouching, montages and imbrications performed with Photoshop software.
