Pipes on the beach

A couple in love is walking on the Caspian beach in Sumgayit, north of Baku. Soviet planners made Sumgayit a centre of heavy industry, but after the fall of the Soviet Union, most of the factories closed. Today the area, littered with rusty pipes, is still extremely polluted.
